Willventory (“Willventory,” “we,” “us”) helps you catalog personal belongings for estate planning and organization. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Information you provide

When you use Willventory, you may create inventory entries such as:

  • Item names, descriptions, categories, locations, notes

  • Photos you choose to add

  • Optional values (e.g., estimated value, serial numbers, purchase details)

  • Your inventory and photos are stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store your inventory content on our servers.

2) Purchases and subscriptions (RevenueCat / Apple)

If you purchase an upgrade (e.g., Plus or Pro), purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store. We use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions/purchases and entitlements.

RevenueCat may process:

  • Purchase/transaction identifiers

  • App user identifiers (non-personal, used to associate entitlements)

  • Device and app metadata needed to validate purchases

We do not receive your full payment details. Apple handles payment information.

3) Information collected automatically

Depending on your settings and the tools we use, we may collect limited technical information to operate and improve the app, such as:

  • Device type and iOS version

  • App version

  • IP address may be processed by service providers for security and fraud prevention

4) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and maintain the app

  • Enable upgrades and restore purchases

  • RevenueCat (to manage purchase entitlements)

Service providers are permitted to process data only to perform services for us and must protect it.

  • Photos permissions: You can control photo access in iOS Settings.

  • Analytics/crash reporting:

    • We do not use analytics beyond what is necessary for app functionality.

7) Data retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Technical logs (if collected) are typically retained for a limited period to help diagnose issues.

8) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard data and minimize collection.

9) Children’s privacy

Willventory is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10) International users

If you use the app outside the United States, your information may be processed in the country where you live and/or where our service providers operate.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
